For as long as I can remember, I've always been intrigued by the ocean. It all started with Jacques Cousteau and his underwater adventures. He and his crew sailing on the mighty Calypso, diving the Seven Seas, discovering and enlightening us to the world below.
I became a certified diver because of my memories of the red capped frogmen swimming underwater, dual black tanks on their backs, knives strapped to their calves, and sharks, octopae, and eels watching in curiosity.
There is definitely something magical about being underwater, surviving from a self contained breathing apparatus (SCUBA), floating with neutral boyancy, and knowing that you are the visitor there, the only one not designed to be there. It's like sneaking into some forbidden palace and gazing upon its treasures.
